Competing in a competition with Camelbak in collaboration with Autodesk to design a product not currently in the Camelbak Portfolio that incorporates VSS (vacuum seal stainless-steel) technology. Here VSS is integrated into one of the most storied coffee brewers, the moka pot.

Solving a Pain Point

Moka pots need to be placed on top of an open flame in order to brew coffee. Through a combination of thermal radiation and conduction the upper chamber will eventually be heated to the point of cooking your coffee, and ultimately compromising the flavor

The Heat Shield

The construction of the upper assembly incorporates VSS technology to shield the delicate coffee flavors from both the radiant heat of the open flame but also prevents conduction of the heat from the lower assembly.
